City of Lenexa's Website
If you are new to the neighborhood and would like information about what's happening in Lenexa, please visit their website here!
Lenexa's Bulky Item Pick-up
In the past, Country Hill residents got one Bulky Item Pick-up per year following the Spring Garage Sale, but now you get two!
Residents may have one item picked up on the scheduled day after the Annual Spring Garage Sale. The City of Lenexa provides a service through Waste Management for as many items as they can load in their truck in 15 minutes for items at curbside. All residents need to do is call 1-800-631-3301 and schedule a day at your convenience!
Items that Waste Management will or will not pick up are below:
·         Items that contain Freon or other hazardous materials (i.e., batteries, paint, gasoline) will not be picked up.
·         Items such as yard waste and electronic waste will not be picked up.
·         Waste Management will pick up appliances such as microwaves, washers, and dryers.
·         Waste Management will pick up a lawnmower if it contains no gasoline.
Household Hazardous Waste Disposal
To help protect our environment, household hazardous waste items such as paint, lawn chemicals, etc. should be disposed of properly rather than in the landfill.  The Johnson County Environmental Department operates a drop-off facility that will accept your household hazardous waste items.  A list of accepted items along with additional information can be found HERE.
You may schedule an appointment for drop-off of household hazardous materials online by clicking the link below or by calling (913)715-6900.  Mobile collection services are also available for homebound residents.

Thursday, October 24th, 5:30pm-8:30pm at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park

You can enjoy performances by puppets, musicians and singers along the trail around Rose’s Pond and fun photos in the photo booth. Stroll the seasonal displays, visit friendly characters and enjoy performances at your leisure.
The Enchanted Forest is primarily an entertainment event — not a trick-or-treating event. However, there will be a limited supply of candy in the sponsor area, thanks to their generosity.
